Company executives are crying out to be empowered with 'at a glance' clear, visual non-jargon reporting on digital investments worldwide. Reporting that tells them concisely what they need to know when they need to know it. Allowing them to lead online and make key decisions and pushing aside any technical babble.

Why? Because of this typical day to day scenario...
- Executive. "Website seems slow!"
- Tech. Manager "But the IT report shows the average response over the last 1, 3 and 6 months is quite good".
- Executive. "Must be me then. I'm baffled, as I have no idea what they are saying technically and I'm really not confident; guess I just hope it's OK!"

A glib answer could be hiding day-to-day issues of hacking, downtime and poor response times across a company's digital channels. Issues that could be hidden behind the above mentioned 'average' data reports on digital site performance and availability to customers. Answers that stop senior personnel from putting their 'finger on the problem' and taking immediate action before their brand is damaged.

A new map based interactive, colour coded global monitoring service called "Global Heartbeat" has entered the market and is available now following two years of R&D. Sitemorse is the pioneer of automation that continually assesses digital content and is the backbone of Digital Governance for many global organisations.

Global Heartbeat is the first monitoring service built specifically for Digital Leaders and Senior Executives and also the first to bring them summarised time information about their digital assets, even supporting wearable technology such as the Apple watch.

Lawrence Shaw, CEO of Sitemorse commented: "Without them really realising it, Global Heartbeat is for Digital Leaders the service that they have wanted for a long time. Many businesses are so customer centric these days they need to have confidence in striving for 100% perfection across all digital touch points and not hoping all is OK.”

But what does this service mean for those across Digital Management?

Global Heartbeat’s reporting offers 'at a glance' essential information on poor response times/downtime/hacking etc. in a traffic light colour coded interactive map format. This visually shows the status of all or any part of digital landscape on a continent-by-continent, country-by-country basis – green indicating things are OK.

The current ‘technical’ services key downfall of all is the averaging of detail such as response time (the example shown below features an 'OK' response time, but not wonderful with an average of 1,050ms – this itself hides over three days of poor UX) that can mask such important findings.

Additional key features of Global Heartbeat include:-
- Service Level Agreement (SLA) Management. Listing total downtime in hours and minutes across any period, allowing company executives to match realities to the guarantees of their web hosting supplier, agency or partner. The exact detail of individual occurrences of downtime is shown.
- Location and time intelligence emails will also only be sent during office hours, no more emails through the night against which little action can be taken – if the service detects significant site issues (down, hacking etc) then text messages are more appropriate.
- Global Capability. It is a service that covers the globe, following Sitemorse's expansion of its data centre capability, from operations over two continents to expansion of services through Asia, Oceania, South America and the whole of the USA.
